CHOOSE TO BE FREE

In August 2019, my family and I went on a 10-day island hopping in Palawan. I enjoyed the trip because I was free to spend time with my family. It gave me an excuse to be away from my clinic and set aside my work even for a temporary period. I felt the heat of the sun on my face, tasted the saltiness of the sea and breathe fresh air for a change as we rode the boat from one island to the other. It may take a while to do this again because of the COVID-19 pandemic but I am looking forward to being able to travel with less hassle and restrictions because I chose to be free.

When you were diagnosed with cancer, you felt chained to the wall, with your hands and feet tied up because you're afraid to go out for fear that you will be infected which will be a double whammy. You've shrunk yourself into a ball in the corner of the room. You've probably hidden yourself in a closet to escape. But the Lord is setting you free from old chains like false belief, rebellious streak, envy and even empty promises. You need to forgive yourself and those who have hurt you. You have to repent and be sorry for the sins that you have committed including your sins of omission. You have to be encouraged to change your belief to change your life. You need to empower yourself to obtain the healing that you desire. To be FREE is to Forgive, Repent, Encourage and Empower.

Today is Day 18 of the 30 days to Change Your Life After Cancer Diagnosis. When you PAUSE, you reflect on God's words. When you PRAY, you ask for God's help, And when you PERFORM, you do your best and God will do the rest because "...faith without works is dead."(James 2:26)

PAUSE

From Hosea 14:5, "I will heal their defection, says the Lord, I will love them freely; for my wrath is turned away from them."

PRAY

Father God, I adore You and praise you for You have set me free from fear and worry about my disease. All things are possible to those who believe and with You at my side, I know I can be healed. All these I ask in Jesus Name. AMEN.

PERFORM

After your morning prayer, remove the imaginary chains from your hands and feet and exclaim, "I am now free to serve the Lord."

Please share to inspire others to be free.
