SIMPLICITY - Day 30 of the Healing Journey with Jesus

City Tour via tricycle in Coron, Palawan

DAY 30 - SIMPLICITY

Sometimes when you travel, you cannot have the best amenities nor even the best mode of transportation. You have to make do with what is available and that is the fun part. When you choose to be simple and adopt to the situation, it will make the experience more enjoyable.

That is what happened when we went on a city tour in Coron, Palawan last August 2019. Seven of us chose to ride and fit into one tricycle. My nephews, Joaquin and Ethan, who grew up in Surrey, UK, had the time of their lives. They smiled as they felt the wind and the scorching heat on their faces.

As you go through each day of your life after being diagnosed with cancer, learn to simplify. You can even adopt the Marie Kondo or Konmari method of organizing or decluttering. Start by simplifying your life and creating abundance as you give away what you do not use, do not need, or do not add sparkle to your life. However, do not limit yourself to material things. Get rid of negative thoughts and negative emotions.

PAUSE

From 2 Corinthians 1:12, " For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience that we have conducted ourselves in the world, especially toward you, with the simplicity and sincerity of God,[and] not by human wisdom but by the grace of God."

PRAY

Lord God, I know that my life now is complicated with all the worries and the pain. I ask you to help me simplify so that I only value what is most important in my healing. In Jesus Name. AMEN.

PERFORM

Declutter your cabinet today by getting rid of the clothes that you have not used in the last 6 months. Give away clothes that no longer fit you.
