DAY 15 - JUSTICE
Almost everyone is familiar with the story of Cinderella. She was badly treated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters but she never complained. Her reward in the end was sweet revenge because she lived happily ever after with her handsome prince. Have you ever wanted to make a person pay for hurting you? In the old testament, you can seek justice by taking an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. However, you do not have to take revenge but let the Lord take the vengeance for you so you will not dirty your hands.
In the New Testament, Jesus encourages you to turn the other cheek instead. “Kapag binato ka ng bato, umilag ka na lang kasi mahal ang tinapay ngayon.” Kidding aside, if you have just been diagnosed with cancer and you continue to harbor evil thoughts and feelings about someone, you will close yourself to receive the healing that you desire. If you have been betrayed by someone, let the Lord take care of you. He will see to it that justice is served in a way that is best. The Lord is a generous God. He will not test you beyond what you can bear. He will provide the way out of your trial if you follow His will for your life. He will make sure that true justice is served if you trust Him to take care of you.
From Jeremiah 11:20, "But you, O Lord of hosts, O just Judge, searcher of mind and heart, let me witness the vengeance you take on them, for to you I have entrusted my cause."
Lord, Jesus Christ, You bore our sufferings and carried our sorrows. Teach me to be generous even if I want to hold back because I felt betrayed. You are a just God and to You I entrust my cause as I pray for the healing of my disease. In Jesus Name. AMEN.
Treat every single one whom you meet today with goodness and mercy.
