DAY 5 - DISCIPLINE
A plebe needs to be trained in order to become a good soldier. He is taught how to hold a gun, shoot an opponent, and navigate himself aside from marching in perfect unison with the rest of the troops. If he does not subject himself to be disciplined, he may develop bad habits that will make a difference when he is already out in the battle field. It may mean the life or death for him and his mates.
Habits are behaviors that you repeatedly do every day which may either do you harm or good like eating habits, sleep behaviors, and physical activities. If you used to eat fast foods or processed foods, sleep late at night, or have a sedentary lifestyle, all those are bad habits that you need to change if you want to be healed. These bad habits can be undone as long as you have the discipline to replace them with good habits like eating a predominantly whole food plant based diet, getting enough sleep, and moving your body 30-45 minutes 3-5x a week. You just need to practice them daily. It may take a while for you to develop good habits but if you discipline yourself and take just one step at a time, you will get the healing that you desire.
From Hebrews 12:11, "For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Lord, I worship You and praise Your Holy Name. Wipe out my offense and thoroughly cleanse me from my guilt. Your discipline seems harsh at first but it is what I truly need to learn my lesson and stop abusing myself. I ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name. AMEN.
Pick one bad habit that you have right now that compromises your health and replace it with a good habit which you will start implementing today.
