DAY 3 - BLESSING
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I asked myself, "What is the positive intention of cancer? What is it trying to teach me? Should I look upon cancer as a blessing in disguise or a curse?". I chose the former. Cancer, thus, became my biggest blessing because it became a gift of a new life, an eye opener, and a second chance to find out my purpose in this world. I was also able to write and self-published my first book entitled, "The Doctor is in the House". It was launched at The Feast PICC on January 2014.
After your cancer diagnosis, ask yourself: "What is the true purpose of my illness? What do I need to improve or change in my life?". If you choose to look at your disease as a blessing rather than a curse, you can change your life. This may be your chance to become closer to God. It is the time to heal broken relationships. It will be the start of your healthy lifestyle. It can be your chance to write the book to share your message to the world. Change your perspective of your illness so that it instead becomes God's biggest blessing to come your way.

From Deuteronomy 11:26-27: "I set before you here, this day, a blessing and a curse: a blessing for obeying the commandments of the Lord, your God, which I enjoin on you today; a curse if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord, your God ..."
PRAY
Lord, Jesus Christ, send me the Holy Spirit to guide me, enlighten me and inspire as I choose to look at cancer as a blessing. I entrust myself, my body and soul, all my goods, both interior and exterior, and the value of my good works to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who brings me closer to You. In Jesus Name. AMEN.
