BE MERCIFUL

As a cancer patient, some of you may just be at the initial steps to find out your exact diagnosis . You may be at the start of your healing process and trying to look for the best option in the management of your disease. You may also be like the others who have undergone treatment which is specific to your type of cancer and has been tailor-made for you based on the physical examination findings, the results of your laboratory tests, imaging studies and even biopsy reports. While the rest of you probably finished your medical treatment and are exploring other means to ensure your survival and prevent the recurrence of cancer. In whatever stage or process you may be in your journey towards the healing of your cancer, you've felt love and comfort because people have been gracious and merciful. Despite feeling grumpy, moody and ultra-sensitive because of the pain that you've experienced, be it physical, mental or emotional, people choose to understand where you are coming from. Because you have been tested through what you have suffered, you can now help those who are being tested. You can extend your unconditional love and support to your fellow cancer patients because you choose to be merciful, just like the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Today is Day 23 of the 30 days to Change Your Life After Cancer Diagnosis. When you PAUSE, you reflect on God's words. When you PRAY, you ask for God's help, And when you PERFORM, you do your best and God will do the rest because "...faith without works is dead."(James 2:26)

PAUSE

From Isaiah 49:13,"...For the Lord comforts his people and shows mercy to his afflicted."

PRAY

Lord, Jesus Christ, thank You for being gracious and merciful even when I have offended You because of my sins. Let me show mercy to others who are suffering so that they may see Your face in me. Send me Your Holy spirit to guide me as I consecrate my life to Your Immaculate Mother. AMEN.

PERFORM

Write about the times you have received grace and mercy and share the same to others around you.

Hope you can share to inspire others to be merciful.
