Hi! I'm Doc Joy. I am a holistic physician. I help cancer patients avoid the recurrence of cancer by balancing medical and non-medical solutions because cancer is not just a physical illness. Cancer encompasses the spiritual, mental, emotional and social states of an individual. How do I know all these? I have been a cancer patient myself and explored other options for my healing. But now, I am a pink warrior. I started posting the 39 DAYS to CHANGE YOUR LIFE AFTER CANCER DIAGNOSIS on February 18, 2021, one day after Ash Wednesday. I've prayed to the Holy Spirit for guidance before sharing this journey of healing cancer. I want to help cancer patients who are experiencing fear of recurrence, pain from cancer as well as complications of treatment and uncertainty in the management of their disease.
Through the years prior to cancer diagnosis, you may have been judgmental. Some of you may even insist on your own opinion. You abhor corrections and will sometime fight tooth and nail just to get your message across. Your way is the best way even if it meant alienating the people around you. You want to be right all the time instead of finding out what is going on the other side of the fence. Choose to be kind. Being kind does not mean compromising your values. Do unto others what you would want others to do unto you.
Think before you click. Clamp your lips before you utter the words that can hurt the recipient. You cannot undo words that have been spoken especially in the midst of an argument. The sharpness of your tongue may be sharper than a two-edged sword that it can slice a person into bits and pieces. The Lord has been kind to you so you can do the same to your brethren. Kindness can open your heart to receive God's blessing and healing.
Today is Day 15 of the 30 days to Change Your Life After Cancer Diagnosis. When you PAUSE, you reflect on God's words. When you PRAY, you ask for God's help, And when you PERFORM, you do your best and God will do the rest because "...faith without works is dead."(James 2:26)
From Daniel 3:42: "Do not let us be put to shame, but deal with us in your kindness and great mercy."
Dear Lord, I worship You for You are my Redeemer. I'm truly sorry for having offended You. Thank you for the gift of a brand new day because You have shown me the way. Tame my tongue that I may speak only with kindness because You have showered me with Your mercy and compassion. I ask all these through the intercession of Mama Mary and in Jesus Name. AMEN.
Before you post on social media, think before you click.
Hope you can share to inspire others, too.
