When you were diagnosed with cancer, your world fell apart. You were miserable, scared and forlorn. But it is not the end of the road for you because cancer is not a death sentence but a detour if you catch it early. Maybe, you have allowed the negative thoughts and emotions to control your life that you became closed to receive God's blessing, mercy and compassion. Your illness is giving you a chance to be reborn. Empty your thoughts to make room for a positive outlook. Open your heart to receive love. Bite your tongue to prevent yourself from saying bad things and hurtful words that will bring you down. Instead, rejoice in the Lord always because "A joyful heart is the health of the body but a depressed spirit dries up the bones," from Proverbs 17:22. Perhaps, you were lost in your busyness to further your career. You've ignored your family. You've neglected your health. But cancer has given you the time to rest and come to life again. It is not the time to brood but a time to be joyful for the chance to change your life after cancer diagnosis. Today is Day 12 of the 30 days to Change Your Life After Cancer Diagnosis. When you PAUSE, you reflect on God's words. When you PRAY, you ask for God's help, And when you PERFORM, you do your best and God will do the rest because "...faith without works is dead."(James 2:26) PAUSE From Luke 15:32, "But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found." PRAYER Lord, our God, thank you for everyday that I wake up to feel the sun on my face, to see the smile of my loved one and to hear the laughter from the people around me. I choose to rejoice because you have never left me. I entrust myself to Your Immaculate Mother because she brings me closer to your Son, Jesus Christ. I claim my healing through her intercession. In Jesus Name. AMEN. PERFORM Make a list of things and people who bring joy to your life and do your part to bring joy to others, too. Hope you can share to bring joy to others.
